  • Infection at site of injection

From Our Vets

Administration of any IV fluids should be done with care in patients with congestive heart failure, severe renal insufficiency, and clinical states of edema and sodium retention.

Plasma-Lyte should be used with great care in patients with elevated potassium or conditions with potassium retention.

Discuss use with your veterinarian if your animal is in heart failure, renal failure, or severe hepatic insufficiency.

Patients receiving intravenous fluids should be monitored by a veterinarian.
