Some irritation at the sight of application has been noted. However, there have been very few side effects reported with this product.

Directions
- Use as directed your veterinarian
- Follow the instructions on the label
- Store CERTIFECT at room temperature
- CERTIFECT should be applied in 2 separate spots on the neck between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades where the dog cannot lick it
- Do not use in puppies less than 8 weeks old

Dogs and puppies weighing 5 to 22 pounds
- 1 applicator (1.07 mL)

Dogs and puppies weighing 23 to 44 pounds
- 1 applicator (2.14 mL)

Dogs weighing 45 to 88 pounds
- 1 applicator (4.28 mL)

Dogs weighing 89 to 132 pounds
- 1 applicator (6.42 mL)

Dosage FAQ's
- In the case of a missed dose of CERTIFECT, give it as soon as you remember or just wait until it is time to give the next treatment. DO NOT GIVE A DOUBLE DOSE OF CERTIFECT.

CERTIFECT is a relatively new product manufactured by Merial. Even though FRONTLINE PLUS will kill and prevent fleas and ticks, CERTIFECT has a stronger tick killer called Amitraz. The same flea killer is in both products (Fipronil.) If you have a heavy tick infestation, this product would be a great choice. Here in the southeast, early spring and summer tend to be the heavy tick season. I wish I could say that I have used this product extensively, but I don't have a huge cross-section of experience. The dogs that have used this product have done very well and I have seen no negative side effects. It comes in a 3 or 6 month supply which would allow an individual the option of using CERTIFECT in the heavy tick infestation months and FRONTLINE PLUS during the rest of the year.
