Atropine Sulfate is available by prescription only.
Atropine Ophthalmic Solution is an anticholinergic agent.
Anticholinergic agents act on the parasympathetic nervous system causing the muscles in your pet's eyes to become relaxed.
Atropine Ophthalmic Solution is used to dilate the pupil when there is an inflammatory condition or in post-surgery situations.

Atropine works by paralyzing the sphincter muscle of the iris of the eye, which results in the dilation of the pupil.
Atropine Warnings
Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not use in pets with known allergies to Atropine.
Atropine should not be used in animals with glaucoma.
Repeated use can cause a substantial decrease in tear production.
Atropine may cause sensitivity to sunlight.
Some dogs and cats do not tolerate Atropine Ophthalmic Solution.
Store at room temperature.

Wash your hands before administering Atropine.

Dosage FAQs
In the case of a missed dose of Atropine, apply the dose as soon as you remember, or wait until it is time to give the next dose. DO NOT GIVE A DOUBLE DOSE OF ATROPINE.
