Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat wide range of bacterial infections, including...

Fluoroquinolones kill susceptible strains of bacteria by preventing their DNA from unwinding, thus preventing the bacterial DNA from duplicating.

Ciprofloxacin is available in two different sizes of tablets:

Ciprofloxacin Warnings

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Do not use in any pet with a known allergy to ciprofloxacin or any other fluoroquinolones.

Do not mix ciprofloxacin with any other drugs or medications.

Do not administer ciprofloxacin to puppies 28 weeks and under.

Inform your veterinarian of any and all medication your pet is taking, especially...

Store at room temperature.

Ciprofloxacin Directions

Give as directed by your veterinarian.

Follow the instructions printed on the prescription label.

Store ciprofloxacin at room temperature.

Be sure to complete the prescription to ensure a full recovery, even if your pet seems to be improving, unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian.

Allow your pet access to plenty of water.

Ciprofloxacin may be given with or without food.

Do not use in puppies younger than 28 weeks of age.

In the case of a missed dose of ciprofloxacin, give it as soon as you remember, or wait until it is time to give the next dose. DO NOT GIVE A DOUBLE DOSE OF CIPROFLOXACIN.
