Credelio Basics

Credelio is a once monthly preventative that kills fleas and ticks in dogs. It treats flea and tick infestations, effectively killing fleas, lone star ticks, American dog ticks, black-legged ticks, and brown dog ticks. The main ingredient in this medication is lotilaner. Lotilaner blocks the transfer of chloride ions in insect cells, attacking the central nervous system of fleas and ticks.

Credelio requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It comes in beef-flavored, chewable tablets. It comes in the following sizes based on your pet's weight:

• 4.4- 6 lbs (Yellow Box)
• 6.1-12 lbs (Magenta Box)
• 12.1-25 lbs (Orange Box)
• 25.1-50 lbs (Green Box)

Credelio Directions

Use as directed by your veterinarian, and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Give 1 tablet by mouth once a month. For pets weighing over 100 pounds, give two chews equaling the weight of the pet. Administer this medication with food or within 30 minutes of feeding.

Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.

Credelio Warnings

Keep out of the reach of children and pets. This product is not intended for human consumption; it is for use in dogs only. Do not use this product in cats. Do not use in pets less than 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 4.4 pounds. Use with caution in pets that are pregnant or nursing as well as in pets that have a history of seizures. In the case of a missed dose of Credelio, give the dose as soon as you remember. Do not give a double dose. Finally, if you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while giving this medication, contact your veterinarian immediately.
