Dorzolamide

• Dorzolamide is available by prescription only.

• Dorzolamide is used to reduce the amount of fluid produced in the eyes.

• Dorzolamide is used to treat glaucomas.

• Dorzolamide works as a protein inhibitor.

• The protein responsible for producing fluid in the eye is called carbonic anhydrase.

• Dorzolamide reduces the activity of this protein, thus creating less pressure in the eye.

• Dorzolamide is a sulfa-based drug.

• Dorzolamide is available in 10 mL bottles.

• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

• Do not use if your pet has a known hypersensitivity to Dorzolamide of other sulfa drugs.

• Let your veterinarian know if your pet is taking any other medication before using Dorzolamide.

• Avoid exposing Dorzolamide to sunlight.

• Store Dorzolamide at room temperature.

• Do not touch the tip of the applicator to your pet's eye or to any other surface.

• Administer as directed by your veterinarian.

• Always follow the instructions printed on the prescription label.

• Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture..

• Be sure to complete the entirety of the prescription to ensure a full recovery, unless your veterinarian has instructed otherwise.

• Wait at least five minutes before administering any other medications to your pet's eye.

• Do not touch the tip of the applicator to any other surface, including your pet's eye.

• In the case of a missed dose of Dorzolamide, give it as soon as you remember or wait until it is time to give the next dose. DO NOT GIVE A DOUBLE DOSE OF DORZOLAMIDE.

• In the case of an overdose of Dorzolamide, seek attention from your veterinarian.

• Allergic reactions and serious side effects are rare, but in the case of an allergic reaction or a serious side effect you should seek immediate veterinary attention.
