• Interceptor Flavor Tabs are available in various sizes:

• 1.5 to 6 pounds  (Green package)

• 6.1 to 12 pounds  (Yellow package)

• 12.1 to 25 pounds  (White package)

• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

• Interceptor Flavor Tabs should not be used in any animal with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to milbemycin.

• Animals should be tested for heartworm infections before beginning Interceptor treatment.

• Interceptor should not be used in cats less than 6 weeks of age or those weighing less than 1.5 pounds.

• When used to kill heartworm microfilaria, cats should be carefully observed for a shock-like reaction that may occur following treatment.

• Interceptor Flavor Tabs kill microfilaria, the microscopic offspring of adult heart worms.

• Shock-like symptoms can be seen if a heartworm positive animal is given Interceptor.

• Contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice any shock-like symptoms in your pet.

• Store at room temperature.

• Store protected from light and moisture.

• Give as directed by your veterinarian.

• Follow the instructions printed on the prescription label.

• Store at room temperature.

• Give by mouth once a month, year-round.

• Do not use in kittens less than 6 weeks old or weighing less than 1.5 pounds.

• Dosage is based on your pet's weight.

• Use a combination of 2 tablets for cats over 25 pounds.

• Give one 5.75 mg tablet orally once a month

• Give one 11.5 mg tablet orally once a month.

• Give one 23 mg tablet orally once a month.

• In the case of a missed dose of Interceptor, give it as soon as you remember or wait until it is time to give the next dose. DO NOT GIVE A DOUBLE DOSE OF INTERCEPTOR FLAVOR TABS.

• Overdose cases are rare, but some symptoms of an overdose may include…

• depression

• drowsiness

• vomiting 

• diarrhea

• loss of appetite

• hives

• hypersalivation

• Call your veterinarian immediately if you think an overdose has occurred.

• If given Interceptor, heartworm positive animals may experience shock-like symptoms that can lead to death.
