Sodium Chloride Ophthalmic Ointment provides temporary relief of corneal edema. Corneal edema is the swelling of the cornea most commonly caused by surgery, trauma, infection, inflammation, or disease.

Use as directed by your veterinarian. Follow all instructions printed on the product packaging. Apply 1 – 2 drops (approximately ¼ – ½ inch strip) in the affected eye every 3-4 hours.
Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Do not allow this product to freeze. Keep tube tightly closed at all times.
Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Do not use in pets with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to the medication or in those pets suffering from corneal ulceration. To avoid contamination, do not allow the tip of the tube to touch any surface. Wait 5 minutes after applying this medication before applying any other medications to the eye. Do not use this product if the solution becomes cloudy or changes color. If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while administering this product, contact your veterinarian immediately.
