  • Aminocaproic Acid Injection is an extra label medication used to stop bleeding from fibrinolysis, especially after certain surgical procedures. It is also used to treat degenerative myelopathy in dogs.
  • Aminocaproic acid works by reducing the activation of inflammatory enzymes that damage myelin.
  • Aminocaproic acid is a fibrinolysis inhibitor.
