Enalapril/Pimobendan/Spironolactone Compound Basics

Enalapril/Pimobendan/Spironolactone Compound is used to treat congestive heart failure and other heart conditions. This compound is a combination of three medications: enalapril, pimobendan, and spironolactone. The primary use of enalapril is for the treatment and prevention of heart failure and high blood pressure. Pimobendan improves the quality of life in dogs suffering from congestive heart failure (CHF), dilated cardiomyopathy, or an enlarged, and weakened heart. Finally, spironolactone treats high blood pressure (hypertension), potassium deficiency, and hyperaldosteronism

Enalapril/Pimobendan/Spironolactone Compound requires a prescription from your veterinarian. It is available as an oral suspension.


Enalapril/Pimobendan/Spironolactone Compound Directions

Use as directed by your veterinarian, and follow all instructions printed on the prescription label. Shake oral suspensions well before use. Complete the entire prescription unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian. Dosage and duration of treatment depend on the condition being treated and response to the medication.

Store at room temperature protected from light and moisture. 

Enalapril/Pimobendan/Spironolactone Compound Warnings

Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Do not use in animals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to enalapril, pimobendan, or spironolactone. Use with caution in pets that are pregnant or lactating. This compound may interact with some other medications. Therefore, inform your veterinarian of any and all medications your pet is taking.  Periodic bloodwork is necessary to monitor kidney and liver values. If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while administering enalapril/pimobendan/spironolactone compound, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Adverse Reactions and Serious Side Effects

Adverse reactions and serious side effects are rare, however, they can occur. Seek immediate veterinary attention if you believe your pet is showing signs of hypersensitivity or a more serious reaction.
