• Equioxx is available by prescription only.

• Equioxx is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat the pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in horses.

• Equioxx comes in three different forms:

• 57 mg tablets

• 6.93 g of paste

• 20 mg / 1 ml vial for intravenous injection

• Keep Equioxx out of the reach of children and pets.

• Equioxx is for use in horses only.

• Equioxx is not intended for human consumption.

• Use with caution if your horse...

• is pregnant or breeding

• is less than one year old

• is lactating

• Consult your veterinarian before use if your horse...

• is dehydrated

• is on diuretic therapy

• suffers from renal, cardiovascular, or hepatic dysfunction

• Do not use with other NSAIDs.

• Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.

• Use as directed by your veterinarian.

• Always follow the instructions printed on the prescription label.

• Equioxx comes in many forms. Discuss which form would be best for your horse with your veterinarian.

• To use the Equinox paste, round your horse's weight to the nearest 50 lbs.

• Rotate the syringe plunger 1/4 turn.

• Slide the ring to the appropriate weight size.

• Lock the plunger back into place.

• Give the paste with or without food.

• Equioxx injection is for intravenous use.

• Common signs and symptoms of an adverse reaction to NSAIDs are...

• ulcers, especially around the mouth and face

• weight loss

• colic

• diarrhea

• icterus

• Severe reactions to NSAIDs can cause life threatening conditions and, in some cases, death.

• If your horse exhibits these symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately.
