Synotic Basics

Synotic is available by prescription only.

Synotic is a topical medication used to treat inflammatory conditions of the ear.

This medication contains a corticosteroid called fluocinolone, which serves as an anti-inflammatory.

Synotic also contains DMSO, which is another medication that aids in the absorption of fluocinolone and also has some anti-inflammatory properties.

Synotic works by preventing the production of chemicals in the ear that trigger allergic and inflammatory conditions.

Acepromazine is available in a dropper bottle in the following sizes:

Synotic Warnings

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Recommended for topical application to the ear canal of dogs ONLY.

Make sure the ear drum is intact before application of Synotic.

Notify your veterinarian if your pet is on any other medications.

Do not use in pets that are pregnant.

Wear gloves when applying Synotic.

Avoid contact with eyes.

Synotic should not be used in pets that are allergic to Fluocinolone Acetonide & Dimethyl Sulfoxide.

Use with caution in pets that have ear infections or sore skin.

Synotic Directions

Use as directed by your veterinarian.

Store at room temperature.

Wear gloves when applying Synotic.

Make sure the ear drum is intact before Synotic treatment.

Clip any excessive hair from the ear.

Ear should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before treatment.

Duration of treatment depends on the severity of the ear condition.

Dosage for DOGS

Squeeze 4 - 6 drops in to ear canal 2 times daily

Treatment should last 7 to 14 days

If you notice any behavioral or physiological changes in your pet while administering Synotic, contact your veterinarian immediately.
