• Apoquel is a fast-acting and safe anti-itch treatment for dogs.
  

• Apoquel provides itch relief within 12 hours of the first dose.
  

• It helps control acute and chronic allergic dermatitis as well as atopic dermatitis. 
  

• The main ingredient, oclacitinib, works by inhibiting certain cytokines. These cytokines play a significant role in inflammation, itching, and allergy processes.

• Apoquel comes in 3 different strengths

• 3.6 mg

• 5.4 mg

Apoquel Warnings

• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

• Apoquel is not intended for human use; it is for use in dogs only.
  

• Do not use this medication in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections.
  

• Do not use in dogs that are breeding, pregnant, or lactating.
  

• Apoquel can increase the chances of developing serious infections.

• Apoquel can also cause existing parasitic skin infections or pre-existing cancers to worsen. 
  

• Apoquel can interact with some other medications. Inform your veterinarian of any and all medications your pet may be taking, especially...

• glucocorticoids

• cyclosporine

• Other systemic immunosuppressive agents

• Store at room temperature.

• Use as directed by your veterinarian.

• Follow the instructions printed on the prescription label.

• Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.
  

• Be sure to complete the prescription to ensure a full recovery, even if your pet seems to be improving, unless instructed otherwise by your veterinarian.

• Dosage and length of administration varies depending on the condition being treated and response to medication. 
  

• This medication can be given with or without food.  If stomach upset occurs following administration, give tablets with food. 

• Allergic reactions and serious side effects are rare, but in the case of an allergic reaction or a serious side effect, seek veterinary attention immediately.
