Brinzolamide Basics
Brinzolamide is available by prescription only.
Brinzolamide is used to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension in dogs, cats, and horses.
Brinzolamide reduces intraocular pressure by inhibiting the activity of carbonic anhydrase (CA), an enzyme responsible for producing fluid in the eye.
Brinzolamide is available in 10 mL bottles.
Brinzolamide Warnings
Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not use if your pet has a known hypersensitivity to Brinzolamide or other sulfa drugs.
Let your veterinarian know if your pet is taking any other medication before using Brinzolamide.
Store Brinzolamide in the refrigerator or at controlled room temperature.
Do not touch the tip of the applicator to your pet's eye or to any other surface.
Brinzolamide Directions
Administer as directed by your veterinarian.
Always follow the instructions printed on the prescription label.
Store in the refrigerator or at controlled room temperature away from moisture and sunlight.
Be sure to complete the entirety of the prescription to ensure a full recovery, unless your veterinarian has instructed otherwise.
Wait at least five minutes before administering any other medications to your pet's eye.
Do not touch the tip of the applicator to any other surface, including your pet's eye.
Shake well before use.
Do not use if medication changes color.

In the case of a missed dose of Brinzolamide, give it as soon as you remember or wait until it is time to give the next dose. DO NOT GIVE A DOUBLE DOSE.
