Monurol Basics
Monurol is available by prescription only.
Monurol is used to treat urinary tract infections that are resistant to other drug treatments.
Monurol is an extra-label drug used by veterinarians.
Fosfomycin tromethamine is the generic form of Monurol.
Fosfomycin works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria.

Do not mix Monurol with hot water.
Administer Monurol immediately after mixing in water.
Use with caution in pets that are pregnant or nursing.
Monurol Directions
Use as directed by your veterinarian.
Follow the instructions printed on the prescription label.
Packets should be mixed with cold water.
Do not mix with hot water.
Use Monurol as directed. Misuse of antibiotics can increase the risk of antibiotic resistance.
Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.
Use with extreme caution in cats.
Dosage for Dogs:
Give a single dose of 40 mg / kg.
Mix Monurol with water.
