Seresto Flea & Tick Collars

• Seresto is available over the counter. No prescription is required.

• Seresto offers flea and tick protection for both cats and dogs.

• Seresto reduces the risk of vector-borne disease transmission from parasites for up to 8 months.

• Seresto uses a polymer matrix to provide dose adjusted release of two proven active ingredients:

• Imidacloprid, a potent insecticide

• Flumethrin, an acaricide

• The polymer matrix adjusts the amount of active ingredients depending on the concentrations within the lipid layer on the pet´s skin.

• This ensures a steady, low-dose release profile, providing optimal protection for up to 8 months.

• Laboratory trials found that the combination of imidacloprid and flumethrin is 100 times more effective against fleas than imidacloprid alone, based on in vitro studies.

• Seresto is water and shampoo resistant, but if your pet swims or is bathed more than one time each month, Seresto collars may not be effective for the full 8 months.

• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

• Do not reuse the Seresto container. Seresto collars should be disposed of in the original container.

• Seresto should not be allowed to contaminate food or water, including during disposal.

• Store collars at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

• Bathing your pet more than one time every month while using Seresto may cause a decrease in the efficacy of the collar. This may cause collars to last for a shorter span than 8 months.

• Follow the instructions printed on the product packaging.

• Remove collar from protective bag immediately prior to use.

• Make sure that there are no remnants from the plastic connectors inside the collar before use.

• Insert the end of the collar through the buckle.

• Adjust the collar around your dog or cat’s neck without tightening it too tight. As a general rule of thumb, it should be possible to insert two fingers between the collar and your pet's neck.

• Pull any excess collar through the loop, and cut off any excess length extending 1 inch, or 2 centimeters, beyond the loop.

• Seresto comes with three optional reflector clips that can be attached to the collar to help keep your dog visible at night. The reflector clips should be evenly distributed on the non-overlapping part of the collar.

• Bathing your pet too often while using Seresto could cause the collar to work less effectively.

• Use one Seresto Cat collar every 8 months.

• Seresto Cat can be used in cats 10 weeks or older.

• Use one Seresto Small Dog collar every 8 months.

• Seresto Small Dog can be used in dogs 7 weeks or older.

• Use one Seresto Large Dog collar every 8 months.

• Seresto Large Dog can be used in dogs 7 weeks or older.
